Eiropean Christian Academy condemns brutal assault on the State of Israel and its civilians by the Palestinian terrorist organization “Hamas”. We rise our prayers and express solidarity with conviction that the truth will finally win.

Rector of ECA – member of the editorial board at Semmelweis University Proceedings

Editorial board and Senate of the Institute of Mental Health at Semmelweis University (Hungary) prolonged the term of being the member of the Board for rector prof. Skaidrīte Gūtmane from European Christian Academy for another 5 years term. Prof. Skaidrīte Gūtmane has been operating as member of the Editorial Board already since 2016.

Meeting of the Council for Cooperation Between Social Work Specialists at the Ministry of Welfare

Discussion in the think-tank space “Tintnīca / Inkpot” between members of the Council and social work practitioners was held in August 24, 2023. Discussion was focused on connection between the industry and labor market needs. Prof. Skaidrīte Gūtmane, as.prof. Guntis Dišlers, as. prof. Dace Dolace and graduate from the Academy Eva Viļķina joined.

Meeting with NGO leaders from Israel

Meeting with NGO leaders from Israel was organized by Embassy of Israel in Latvia, July 3, 2023. The meeting was held within the ERASMUS network promoting further development of Social work, Caritative social work and Bible art studies.

Rector of ECA Skaidrīte Gūtmane – professor at Klaipeda University

Senate and Council of social sciences at Klaipeda University (Lithuania) voted for awarding rector of European Christian Academy prof. Skaidrite Gūtmane as partnering professor in social sciences at Klaipeda University, June 21, 2023. Cooperation with KU lasts already 10 years – prof. Skaidrīte Gūtmane has taken active part in international conferences, presented various lecture courses, she is also vice-editor in chief of the Academic Proceedings of KU “Tiltai / Bridges”. The awarding event at the Rector’s office was attended by Prorector of sciences and studies prof. Sonata Mačiulskyte, Rector’s advisor Rita Vaičekauskaite, Dr. habil., visiting professor at ECA Elvyra Aciene. The Diploma was awarded by the Rector Prof. Artūras Razdabauskas.

Gesher Theater (Israel) visiting Latvia

Commemorating 75 years of the State of Israel internationally known “Gesher Theater” from Israel visited Riga with play “Don’t Look Back” in May 30, 2023. Tour of the Gesher Theater was organized by Embassy of Israel in Latvia. The play was discussed together with teachers and students from European Christian Academy.

Monograph by Rector ECA prof. Skaidrīte Gūtmane published

We study society and client in order to understand it, lead it and inspire! Today (May 22, 2023) monograph by the founder and strategic implementator of European Christian Academy, its rector prof. Skaidrite Gūtmane “Towards the culture of compassion”. The monograph is dedicated to the concept of caritative social work developed at the Academy, its anthropological concept and methodology in the risk society. Monogrpah comprises vast bibliography. Academic Proceedings, Vol. 7

Annual Scientific Proceedings of European Christian Academy is available at the Academy! It is titled “Anthrop;ological issues in work with client”. Among authors are teaching staff at the Academy – from Latvia and Germany, and gradutes whose Diploma thesis were among the best of the year.
