Colleagues from Klaipeda University (Lithuania) visited Academy

Colleagues from Klaipeda University (Lithuania) – academic prorector prof. Sonata Mačiulskyte, prof. Rita Vaičekaskaute and prof. Elvyra Aciene from Chair of Social work visited the Academy. Several important questions were discussed: consortium for Doctoral studies in social work (in cooperation between the Academy, Klaipeda University and Lapland University, Finland); mobility of staff and students within the ERASMUS+ framework; lectures of prof. Rita Vaičekaskaute on social work methodology at European Christian Academy.

Calligraphy for incoming ERASMUS+ students

Beginning form March 17, 2023, students from abroad will attend academic masterclass in Iconography and Calligraphy (within the “Bible ARt” study program). The masterclass wil be run by DrHC George v. Durtanossky (Germany). Students will attend professional workshops, visit Department of Ancient Manusripts and Rarities at Latvian National Library, where they will do practical part of the masterclass. The course will last 3 months.

On ERASMUS+ at the Senate of LChrA

Participants of ERASMUS+ attended Senate meeting of Latvian Christian Academy in September 25, 2019, to share and discuss their experience and insight in the teaching and personnel improvement and practice mobilities (study year 2018/19). Also head of the ERASMUS+ inter-universities cooperation department Mr Valters Dolacis presented new inter-universities agreements and new ERASMUS+ topicalities.

ERASMUS+ in Bethlehem University

Teacher at Biblical Arts study programme assist.prof. Beata Soloveja worked in Bethlehem University (Palestine) within the ERASMUS+ personnel teaching mobility, September 16-19, 2019. She hosted Art therapy master-class for both students and teachers of the Social work programme. Added value: inter-universities agreement between Latvian Christian academy and Bethlehem Icon center.

Lecturer from Bethlehem University

Lecturer from Bethlehem University (Palestine) Mrs. Naila Muslekh visited Latvian Christian Academy in September 16-20, 2019, lecturing on “The Hierarchy Model in Community work with families in Palestine: Hierarchy and Social Time”. The lecture was addressed to the teaching staff and the final stage of students.
