In 2023 Academy has been approved as coordinating NORDPLUS Higher Education consortial project “WE-THINK: ACCELERATING SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY” (NPHE-2023/10257). Partners in Consortial network and Intensive Course are Klaipeda University (LT) and VID Specialized University (NO).

Approved NORDPLUS Higher Education project 2023
Meeting with President of Latvia
In April 20, 2023, President of Latvia met Rector of European Christian Academy prof. Skaidrīte Gūtmane and visiting prof. of the Academy, DrHC George v. Durtanossky, professor in Calligraphy and Paleography (Germany, Macedonia), head of SCRIPRORIUM at ECA. Prof. Durtanossky presented to the President the hand-written Preamble of Latvian Constitution, which is an excellent peace of art.
SUMMER SCHOOL IN ICON PAINTING – IN AUGUST 2023!
European Christian Academy in AUGUST 14-20, 2023, organizes SUMMER SCHOOL IN ICON PAINTING to go through all phases of Icon painting starting from preparation of the Icon board until the final varnish of the ready painting. Summer School provides theoretical and practical basis for canonical Icon painting.
Date and venue: August 14-20, in Jūrmala (Latvia), Bulduri (address: Vienības prospekts 23), in European Christian Academy.
Training fee: 250 EUR + materials.
Discussion “What hope for Europe” in cooperation with the IXE-Group think-tank
On April 17, 2023, the “Chapel for Europe” discussion “What hope for Europe: New Insights on the Christian Contribution” organized by the think-tank IXE-Group (Initiatives of Christians for Europe) and the Jesuit European Social Center (JESC) took place. In discussion took part Clemens Ladenburger (IXE, EC), Apostolic Nuncio to the European Union, Arch. Noel Treanor and other official representatives of the EU.
Lectures on Babylonian Talmud by prof. Haim Weiss (Ben Gurion University, Israel)
In February 13-16, 2023, Christian Academy in cooperation with Israel Embassy in Latvia, Ambassador Mrs. Sharon Rappoport-Palgi, organized lectures on Anthropologcial questions in Babylonian Talmud, the most important text of Judaism by world-famous judaist prof. Haim Weiss (Ben-Gurion University in the Negev, Israel) at Aula Minor of University of Latvia.
Lectures attracted professionals from helping professions – social workers, social pedagogues, religious scientists historians of culture, policy makers.
One week intensive course opened up possibility to discuss modern issue of human identity crisis. The discussions were held in a very welcoming atmosphere, clarified many questions of modern philosophy and history of reveleation given to Jews.
European Christian Academy has cooperation agreement with Ben-Gurion University in the Negev and Centre of Jewish Studies.
