We just received an e-mail from England – sharing joy and motivation with gratitude to the Christian Academy:
“Honorary Rector prof. Skaidrīte Gūtmane. I am invited to attend official ceremony of investiture in Cambridge where I will be awarded “Highly Commended” recognition as a King’s Award for Voluntary Service nominee. The ceremony is scheduled in March 26 at Great St Mary’s Church, Cambridge. I have graduated from European Christian Academy as Christian caritative social worker – deacon. Both professional and ethical foundation received from the Academy has been basis for my work in the United Kingdom for 15 years and now it has been acknowledged with official international recognition. The experience proves that professional education mastered in Latvia is capable to create impact also beyond its borders and be recognized on the highest level. I see this professional experience as valuable input also in academic life – as an example of international practice for both students and professional dialogue to promote the impact of education. – With regards, Iveta.”
OUR CONGRATULATIONS, IVETA!
