Indeed, social work IS science! And it is interdisciplinary, and maybe because of that it is not easy for her to establish its proper place among other fields of knowledge. Indeed! – the work with client deserves research already from recognition of the WORD, of LOGOS or understanding of the WORD OF GOD, with WORD as text. It has been so from ancient times, because THE WORD MATTERS.

This is the title for the students’ conference: “Word matters”. WORD of the language as instrument in communication with client. It is a synthesisizing word. Language of a social worker and authority of the semantics of the word. Word in the context of crisis. Word and technologies as instruments – Word in the context of scientific approach on the one hand and in the context of narrow-minded opinions… Students have invited their colleagues from partner universities in Lithuania and Norway and they are looking forward to this great event!
