Scope and aims

Priorities of PROCEEDINGS OF EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN ACADEMY are scientific papers in the fields of social sciences and art with interdisciplinary approach. Manuscripts should represent a substantial advance in terms of:

  • originality;
  • importance to researchers or practitioners in the field;
  • Interest for researchers or practitioners outside the field;
  • rigorous methodology with substantial evidence for its conclusions;
  • conducted according to the highest ethical standards.

Publications can be prepared in English, German, and Latvian languages.

The PROCEEDINGS is published by EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (founded in 1993). It publishes articles on current issues in caritative and social work, social geography, culture, history, education, religion, art and other humanitarian issues. In pursuing academic dialogue, the PROCEEDINGS publishes articles that explore social phenomena from an interdisciplinary point of view. Articles on Latvian and EU regional policy, and the social and cultural development of border and cross-border regions, are particularly welcome. Since science does not recognise borders, scientific cooperation is a strategy that aims at the progress of the global community. For this reason, scientists from various countries are invited to participate in the work of the editorial board, and to publish articles as authors.
