NORDPLUS intensive study week „Climate Symbols in Art and Theology”

In April 23-28 and intensive study week „Climate Symbols in Art and Theology” was held at the Latvian Christian Academy. The NORDPLUS frame gathers students from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland and Norway.
Lectures by both theologians and environmentalists are envisaged along with opening of exhibition in the parish house of the St. John Church in Old City Riga, site visit of the Pedvāle Open-air museum. Among lecturers there were Latvian theologians asist.prof. G.Dišlers (LChrA), Dr.theol. J.Cālītis (Latvian University) Fr. J.Dravants (Latvian Orthodox Church), priest R.Melkers (Roman Catholic Church), Prof. Hildegunn T. Schuff (Ansgar Teologiske Hogskole, Norway), as well as biologists and environmentalists from the Faculty of Biology (Latvian University), Latvian Fund of Nature, Latvian Institute of Hydro ecology, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development.
