To celebrate Resurrection of Christ, Blessed Easter, an Icon painting exhibition by artists from Latvian Christian academy was opened in Saldus History and art museum, April 11, 2017. Link here. Latvian Christian academy is the only University in Europe where Icon painting is offered as both Bachelor and Master degree study programme. Exhibition presents paintings by students and graduates from the Academy, the exhibition was opened by Mrs A.Ozoliņa, Director of Museum, more detailed insight was given by Prof.S.Gūtmane, Rector of Latvian Christian academy, and G.Dišlers and V.Dolacis, representatives from the Academy. Icon painting at the Academy is taught in the traditional canonical style and can be assessed by students from all European countries.
