In March 24, 2007, the Conference on Theology of Holy Trinity was held in the Parish house of St. John church was held, downtown Old Riga city. It was organized by LChrA and speakers from main traditional Christian denominations participated along with teachers and students of the Academy. The Conference was introduced by the Metropolitan of Latvian Orthodox Church HE Alexander. He emphasized that Icon painting shouldn’t be looked upon as „Russian” Church art but rather taken as an ancient Byzantine tradition with its roots in first Christian centuries. However, the main task of Theology and Icon painting of Trinity is – to experience the presence of Christ. Metropolitan praised investment of Latvian Christian Academy in promotion of Christian unity in Latvia.
After the Conference the dedicated Icon painting exhibition was opened for public.
